hers and his: gray matter

Dragging Matthew into another hers & his post! Hooray! Maybe we’ll actually make this a monthly thing?! Fingers crossed! Gray has been on both of our wish lists recently. I think after all the bright colors for summer, we’re both looking forward to more muted color palates for fall and winter {although ask me next week and I might be thinking differently!}. All gray looks are kind of my favorite right now, though; there’s a classic chicness about them. Plus they’re not as hard and edgy as all black. It was fun to style an almost head to toe look in gray, and have Matthew do the same! What colors are you most excited about for fall/winter?
Matthew’s wearing: sweater J.Crew, shirt ASOS , tie 1901, pants BLK DNM, shoes Steven Alan

I’m wearing: top LOFT {sold out but here’s a similar one}, skirt Banana Republic, shoes BCBG via T.J. Maxx {similar 1 and 2}, purse c/o Lauren Merkin {25% off with code INTHEFAMILY25}
Spoiler Alert: If you haven’t watched the season finale of Dexter and intend to please don’t read below!!
You guys. I am soo sad! I was trying to savor the final season and I finally finished it last night. I was honestly thinking it was going to be a good ending. I’ve been watching this show since the beginning and it’s one of my absolute favorites. I have this problem {which Matthew and my whole family will strongly agree with} that I get really attached to TV shows and their characters. So when it was time for the finale I was bawling, not just because it was over but because of what happened. I really really wanted Dexter to have a good life. I wanted him to grow and realize that he didn’t need to continue down his serial killing path. I wanted to have some peace knowing that a) he lives and b) he doesn’t get caught. I guess both came true but not in the way I expected. Did any of your watch Dexter? What did you think? Let’s talk about it in the comments because I’m seriously holding back tears! I keep having to remind myself it’s just a TV show {which it is}, but nevertheless I just feel really let down as a fan. The show was a quintessential tragedy and now I’m heartbroken. Also, recommendations for a new show to get insanely addicted to would be much appreciated. Need to rebound asap!
