The other weekend Matthew and I finally had our day to explore in OC! When I added that to my Summer List I always had the new Anaheim Packing House in mind. I’ve been dying to check this place out ever since I heard they had a PopBar. PopBar started in NYC and it’s this amazing gelato and sorbetto dip bar spot. I unfortunately never made it to the one in New York but now I have one kinda close by! Well, closer than New York anyway! The Packing House is filled with a ton of different food vendors {Indian food, crepes, sushi, fish n’ chips, Cafe Vita coffee, even a grilled cheese bar}. Here are some photos from our fun afternoon:

When we walked in we heard a live band playing. We go over to take a peek at who it is, and it’s this adorable middle school band of girls. They were rocking out to classics by The Beatles and Michael Jackson. And they were pretty dang good too! We walked around and looked at all the food options, finally deciding to do a little bit here and there. There were just too many good spots to pick from. We had an “appetizer” at the Black Sheep Grilled Cheese Bar: Cypress Grove goat cheese + roasted tomatoes + caramelized onions + arugula pesto. So yummy and unique! Then we went to Adya for Indian food and got some small plates: watermelon and mint salad, chickpea fritters in a delicious yogurt sauce + an Indian Sloppy Joe for Matthew. Of course we had to finish with a PopBar. It was hard to pick but I settled on a peanut butter bar with dark chocolate dipped on half and rolled in hazelnuts. It was INCREDIBLE! Next time I’m going to get the pistachio! And probably a hazelnut or dark chocolate bar. I really could have eaten two they were so good! If any of you are local to Los Angeles or Orange County I would highly recommend making a trip out around lunchtime. It was really fun and a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Check back later for my Autumn To Do List!
