Every month my group of girls and I try to have a dedicated Girls Night. Since we live so far apart, it’s important to block out time as often as we can. Wee designate months to each girl’s respective city which not only makes it fair, but it’s also fun to try new places and become familiar with that girl’s area. For November, we decided to have a girls weekend in Riverside, which is where Lizzie is going to Grad School. On Friday night we ate dinner in Lizzie’s backyard, painted nails, watched TV shows and stayed up late catching up. It was just like old times! Saturday morning, after a yummy brunch of aebleskivers and scrambled eggs, we headed to Temecula to go wine tasting. I’ve always wanted to go to Temecula so it was so fun to finally check it out. It was such a fun afternoon with three of my favorite girls!

wineries we visited:
Longshadow Ranch Winery– This winery definitely has a strong ranch feel with horses and stables, a barn and some stacks of hay! It’s fun to sit outside around this little bar area though and taste. The girls weren’t too thrilled with the small pours here but it’s a fun and cute spot!
Weins– such great wine! Loved their reds, the Refugio in particular and the Pinot Noir were excellent! Lizzie recommended choosing her last tasting as the Amour De L’Orange {champagne with an orange twist} which was really nice!
Thornton– This was a fun third stop! They have a lot of different tasting flights, including chocolate wines {!}. as well as a light food menu. We ate on their patio and enjoyed bread with goat cheese and more wine!
After our afternoon tasting we went into Old Town Temecula for dinner. We did an olive oil tasting while we were waiting and then feasted at Public House. It was such a fun day and it makes me miss these girls. We all went to high school together and life isn’t the same without them in it every day. Girl weekends are so important!
