Happy June 1st friends! It’s a special day today because it’s my mom’s birthday and also the start of my favorite month. Summer is right around the corner and we have a few upcoming trips: Santa Barbara for my birthday, a staycation in LA, and some weekends trips to San Diego. The California coast better be ready for us!

After my trip to Palm Springs last weekend, I started to think about dresses that pack well. For me, it’s a huge pet peeve to pack a dress that gets so wrinkled in transit that when you get to your destination you have to spend time steaming/ironing it. I’d much rather have a dress that I can hit the ground running in, literally. There are things to do and places to see!

This grid midi dress, from the M Loves ML collection, is one of my favorites. Besides the fact that it’s a dress that travels well, it has a comfy smocked top, self-tie shoulder straps {bf-friendly!}, and a versatile midi-length. I paired the dress with these comfy leather sandals {under $100!}, and my favorite hat from the past few summers. I found a similar style here! The best part of this dress though is that it packs extremely well. It’s one of those pieces that you can throw in your bag and not worry about. The material holds up- no ironing/steaming needed. I’m wishing I had a European vacation on the books because this is a dress that’s made for an adventure…or two or three!

Hope you all have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by!
