Merry Christmas! - M Loves M @marmar

Merry Christmas to you all! I’m currently bundled up on the couch at my parents’ house, looking at the colorful lights on the Christmas tree, and finishing a piece of chocolate cake and a glass of red wine. The presents are wrapped, the cookies are baked, and our little baby is (thankfully) sleeping peacefully. Isn’t this what the holidays are all about?  I love this time of year and there’s nothing I want more than to soak up every minute of it with my family.

I also want to wish you a Happy New Year. While New Years is a week away, I’m going to be taking a little bit of a break from posting on the blog. I don’t take breaks from the blog very often. Mainly because while it is a job, it’s also my main hobby. I love it! I love writing on here and sharing and connecting with you all. It’s something I look forward to. Even with our many many sleepless nights this past year, I couldn’t imagine not posting. It’s something I’ve done so routinely for the past 8 years, and it’s something I enjoy, sleep-deprived or not.

Taking a break though is something I feel like I really need, not just for myself but also for my family. I know I mentioned this a little bit on Friday, but I really want to be present with them through this holiday season. Even now, I feel a little guilty because it’s Christmas Eve and everyone is asleep except for me. I’ll get there eventually though, especially since Santa is on his way!

I wanted to write this post to give you this update and also wish you all a very merry Christmas. I’m thankful for each and every one of you. Thank you for choosing to come here, to read my stories and be a part of our lives. It is never taken for granted. I can’t wait for all that 2018 will bring, and I’m grateful for all kindness and support along the way!

Merry Christmas & See you in 2018!
