Now that summer is finally here it seems like each weekend is booked with pool parties, outdoor bbqs, and concerts at the Hollywood Bowl. One of my favorite things about summer is being able to celebrate with friends and soak in every last minute of daylight and starlight. Outdoor bbqs are one of those gatherings that I look forward to most because it’s a little bit of both. I love the ease and simplicity of outdoor cooking, with lawn games and happy conversations. And to end the night outdoors, under the stars, and with good company, is what summer is all about. Add in some s’mores and you have yourself one happy girl! Maxi dresses are my favorite thing to wear for outdoor parties because they keep me cool {and sun protected} during the hot afternoons, and warm {and mosquito protected} during the evenings. The mosquito part is especially important because I have the blood those little guys crave. This dress from Missguided is perfectly flowy and the chevron pattern is perfectly on-trend! I love that it makes a dramatic statement, while still being able to fit seamlessly into any occasion. I’m looking forward to wearing the dress more this summer! Hopefully I won’t repeat it for too many parties!
