Los Angeles Honey Spots

I recently teamed up with the Marc Jacobs team to share some of my favorite LA “Honey Spots,” in celebration of their new perfume, Honey by Marc Jacobs. It’s hard to narrow down my favorites because even though I grew up in Los Angeles, I still feel like I’m always finding new spots. One of my favorite things to do with Matthew is try a new restaurant. Sometimes it’s a hit, and other times it’s a miss, but it’s always an adventure. My “Honey Spots” are tried and true regulars though, and mean a lot to me emotionally as well. Here they are below:
1). The Ocean. I grew up in the Valley so beach trips were a must during the summers. Now, I’m lucky enough to be living less than a mile from the beach. It’s such a luxury to get a head start on a Saturday morning, putting my towel and umbrella in the perfect place and settling in with a favorite book. The ocean is also one of Matthew’s favorite spots since he surfs a few times a week. While we aren’t right next to a dog beach, those trips are also worth it. Ginger is one funny dog around water! We used to think she was afraid of it but now we’ve realized it’s just a love/hate relationship.
2). Gjelina in Venice. Gjelina is one of my favorite brunch spots. I love everything they have on the menu, especially the lemon ricotta pancakes. So.good! They also have phenomenal pizza and a $5 blueberry brown sugar scone that is so worth it!
3). Farmer’s Markets. LA is a great city to find fresh produce. I love that we have weekly farmer’s markets all over the city where local farmers come to sell their fruits and veggies. There’s a quality you can definitely taste, and it’s great to support and buy local. A perfect Sunday always includes sleeping in and stopping by our farmer’s market! Matthew usually gets a breakfast burrito and I sometimes get tempted by the kettle corn but always by the beautiful flowers!

Honey by Marc Jacobs is a sunny delicious floral – energetic and alluring, with a sparkling, golden touch. The perfect mix of brightness and warmth. The fragrance energizes with the freshness of green pear brightened with a splash of fruity punch and juicy mandarin. At the heart of the fragrance is orange blossom, a note of sparkling femininity that mingles with nectars of honeysuckle and peach. Honey, vanilla, and smooth woods dry down to a warm, golden base.
