fall florals

It seems I can’t get away from florals no matter the season! I love the print on this midi-length dress. The fall-friendly burgundy color looks great with the pink and orange flowers and leaves. It’s the kind of dress I could wear in winter with tights, or in summertime with open toed heels. I decided to add a chunky pink scarf to match the flowers and a woven brown belt that I’ve had for years. It was perfect for the cooler fall weather we had last week!

How was your weekend? Ours was fun although I’ll admit a little lazy. Saturday morning I slept in until 11am! It is so unlike me to sleep past 9 on the weekends so I must have needed the sleep. I’ve been going to bed too late these days. We went to a holiday party on Saturday night which was a lot of fun! You can see a sneak peek at my outfit on Instagram. I wore this really pretty black lace drop-waisted dress and a jeweled headpiece since it was Gatsby/Old Hollywood-themed. Matthew looked quite dashing in his bow tie! Sunday we ran some errands and decorated our apartment for Christmas {yay!}. We decided to watch Love Actually since we haven’t seen it the last couple of years and I totally become a crying mess. That movie gets me every.single.time. Even though I know what happens I can’t help but get a little emotional. Wouldn’t it be great if there was some sort of post-script to know how things ended? I just want to know that Alan Rickman and Emma Thompson’s characters can work through their marriage, and that Laura Linney’s brother becomes more stable so that she can date that guy {or another guy}. And does it work out with Colin Firth and the Portuguese girl? I hope so! Because Portuguese girls are the best 🙂 hehe!
Have a great Monday everyone!!
