Going to the farmers market is one of my favorite ways to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Matthew and I used to go religiously every week when we first got married. Now, it takes a little more time to get to our favorite market but whenever we do, we have the best time. I love finding fresh produce for the week and learning about the fruits and veggies that are currently in season. Matthew usually grabs a breakfast burrito and I’ll hunt down some coconut water {or some caramel popcorn!}. I was so excited to put together this shoot for Donna Morgan, one of my absolute favorite dress brands. You all know I’m a dress girl and even on the weekends I like to feel a little fancy, even when I’m doing some basic things. This feminine white dress was perfect for an afternoon at the Santa Monica Farmers Market. It was a hot day but I felt nice and cool! The story totally came to life with the help from the amazing Valorie Darling Photography! She’s so talented and I loved all the photos she captures. It was a little hard to cut down but here are my faves:

Speaking of weekends, Matthew and I had an interesting one, with a little bad luck. On Saturday night when we were finishing up a late dinner, we heard a loud crash and ran outside. Someone drove right into both of our cars parked in front of our house. Poor Matthew’s car isn’t driveable. The whole back bumper is detached, the left wheel is dented in, and his side mirror is dangling! My car also got hurt on the back bumper, my wheel cover got smashed, and there are long scratches on the side. Luckily we were home to catch the person but it’s still such a hassle to deal with. We spent Sunday handling some of it and ended up with two rental cars, until our cars are out of the shop, which hopefully won’t be long. Car issues are the worst!  Let’s cross our fingers for a better week!
