Plaid is a major player in anyone’s fall wardrobe. Men, women, babies, dogs, it’s pretty popular! Besides the fact that Matthew’s Grandpa had a Plaid Birthday Party last weekend, I feel like there’s a sea of plaid shirts wherever I go in the city. While I love a classic plaid shirt, I love wearing plaid in subtle ways as well. I found this cute taupe dress from Old Navy and to make it a little fall-appropriate I added one of their plaid flannel shirts underneath. Not only does layering make sense in colder weather, it also gives a little more visual interest. This is a great way to style plaid when you feel like you don’t just want the plaid shirt + jeans combo!
