Pearls, pleats and powder whites! Holiday dressing is one of my favorites. To be honest, I look forward to it all year long. As soon as January 1st hits, I think about how I can’t wait to do it all again. While jewel tones are stunning during the holidays, I also can’t resist a soft, neutral color palette. Especially one that includes winter white. I found this Michael Kors sweater at Nordstrom Rack and fell in love with it as soon as I laid hands on it! It is the coziest thing ever! The salesgirl and I were talking about how it’s so soft you wish you it came in onesie form. Too much? Yeah, I became awkwardly talkative at checkout counters, especially when I’m excited about something. I was actually thinking it would be a great gift for my best friend, but I had to get one for myself as well. {Does that happen to you too??} I’m already anticipating a twin dinner date! Glitzy embellishments like metallics and pearls are another favorite element to holiday outfits. It’s kind of a must-have detail in November and December. I’ve long loved this Rebecca Minkoff chain purse so when I saw it for such a great price I had to get it. The rose gold is a unique alternative to gold or silver, and it provides an extra feminine touch. A chunky pearl necklace like this one can be worn year-round, but it’s great during the holidays, making it the perfect stocking stuffer gift!

I was super excited to put this post together with Nordstrom Rack! I always love going into their stores because I know I’ll find some of my favorite brands, like Michael Kors and Tory Burch, for a much better deal than at full-price retail stores. Being a buyer I was always aware of the wholesale cost of clothes, so it’s really hard for me to spend full retail, especially when I know what it’s worth. But that’s why I love stores like Nordstrom Rack. On-trend pieces, good brand quality + awesome deals…that’s kind of the best combo ever! Nordstrom Rack is especially great when you’re looking for nice gifts around the holidays, but don’t want to spend a fortune. I found some great sweaters for Matthew {he’s a sweater hoarder this time of year!}, and some glammed up jewelry for my girlfriends! Now, to find something for my parents, and maybe Ginger too. I think she’s been a pretty good dog this year!
