january 2015 highlights M Loves M @marmar
Making these monthly highlights have been a great way for me to remember all that I did each month. Because time flies by. Seriously it does! I’ve been feeling sick the past week so I’m re-watching one of my favorite shows, Gilmore Girls, from the beginning {thank you Netflix!}. It’s so fun to watch it again after so many years. I realized when I started watching it I was in 8th grade. It doesn’t feel like so long ago, but geez it was! I was getting ready to go to high school and watching Rory and Lorelai was my favorite thing. I was so much like Rory, obsessed with reading and hanging out with my best friend and mom. I didn’t have a boyfriend, never been kissed, and the real world seemed so far away. Now, I’m married with a dog and house, working full-time and it’s kind of surreal. So these monthly highlights are a great way for me to hold onto time a little bit longer.  Here are some highlights from the past month:
  • It was so nice to start the year off with a trip to Maui. It was our first real vacation since our last trip to Hawaii two and a half years ago. We left feeling refreshed and ready to start the new year! {I’d highly recommend trying a vacation at the beginning of the year!}
  • White mani all day every day! I’ve been obsessed with neutral nails lately. Currently they’re a pale gray!
  • I got this black and white striped top and I have been wearing it nonstop! It looks especially cute with these red bow heels!
  • Taking a “shoefie” with Mom in Seal Beach!
  • Visited Clare Vivier‘s studio and drooled over their spring collection!
  • Finally checked out Proof Bakery! Their almond latte was delicious and the almond croissant was perfectly crispy on the outside! Can’t wait to go back and try more!
  • I got sick which wasn’t really a highlight but I tried to make the most of it with homemade chocolate and peanut butter chip cookies and Gilmore Girls!
  • Co-hosted the Lulu & Georgia Pop Up in LA! It was such a fun night and I left with some goodies for the house that I can’t wait to show you!

I hope you all had a wonderful January!
{also watch Gilmore Girls if you never have, or watch it again!!
Also, can someone recommend a town like Stars Hollow? I really want to move there!}
