Summer's It Shoe For the Holidays - M Loves M @marmar

Summer was all about the mule! I had a pink sandal pair that I wore nonstop. Remember? It’s such an easy shoe style though because you can literally just slide it on and go. Makes for a good option when you’re busy, have your hands full and don’t have the time to sit down and buckle a strap, or lace a sneaker. Just because the season has changed, though, doesn’t mean I’m ready to give up my mule-wearing! I wanted to show how this style is actually very versatile so here’s how I’m styling summer’s it shoe for the holidays!

One of the things I love about mules, besides their ease, is that they really go with everything from jeans, to dresses, to skirt. I styled this pair {under $35!} with a black turtleneck top and a jade skirt. When I’m wearing a bold color I like to keep the rest of the look more neutral. I love how versatile a black turtleneck is, too! This chunky cardigan is a great layering piece {you know I love wearing them to make a dress more comfortable}, and I like how its length provides a good contrast with the shorter skirt. When I was a stylist, I lived for these kinds of contrasts! So there’s how I’m styling summer’s it shoe for the holidays! What do you think? How do you like to style mules?

I hope you all have a lovely Thursday! Praying for all the families affected by the Los Angeles and Ventura County fires. It’s so heartbreaking watching these fires destroy so many homes. I love my city of LA, it’s where I grew up, so to see it on fire is very very sad. If you’re looking for ways to help or be involved here’s a great article I found. Sending love to all of you, no matter where you live. I know everyone goes through their own challenges and it’s especially hard during the holiday season. Thinking about you all!
