While I still have a few years before my kids are officially in school, lately I’ve been trying to get Augustine into the back to school spirit. I picked up a few educational workbooks for him earlier in the summer and it turns out he loves learning! No real surprise because that boy has always been extra curious! He also loves having a backpack because he can put his favorite books and boys inside. And I have to say he is so darn cute when he is using it. Even though no one in our house is heading back to school, this is my favorite time of year to stock up on school supplies. Why pay full-price for pens and notebooks in February, when you can get them on sale now?? You know I love a good planner and rainbow pen set to help me stay organized! Walmart is always our go-to for everyday items, and they definitely know what they’re doing when it comes to Back to School. They have pretty much everything you could want and for the best price.
I got some great supplies that can be used at home with Augustine for arts and crafts or to help him learn. I’m planning on stocking up on this colorful construction paper, paint, and this washable glitter glue for upcoming rainy days. I might also pick up a few more workbooks since Augustine has been moving through them pretty quickly! He’s mostly drawing in them right now, but we’re going to keep practicing our letters and numbers!
Another thing I noticed is a great deal during back to school time is clothing sets. I found so many great sets of clothing for Augustine from Walmart that were affordable, soft, and coordinating. So easy! I got the outfit set he is wearing for only $18, and it actually came with a second outfit that you can see here. I think I’m also going to get him this little surfer inspired set too! I also love this little girl’s polkadot set. Can you tell I am already getting excited to take Corinna back to school shopping one day?!
