May Edit: Nice & Neutral

I can’t believe we are already half way through May! This May has been pretty warm and I have been loving soft jumpsuits and comfortable dresses. While I do love a bright floral print, I have really been into pairing neutral pieces together and adding a bit of texture into my look.

Adding texture into your look can be so simple, but can really elevate an outfit. A pop of metallic jewelry pieces, a woven handbag or some espadrille style shoes are great and easy accessories to mix in and are a fresh way to break up a monotone outfit! This little knit midi dress is such a great staple for summer and you can totally wear it casual with espadrille sneakers, or dress it up with some chic gold earrings and a nude lipstick.

I love this tan linen jumpsuit and it’s under $25 {such a steal}, and would pair it with some woven slide on sandals!  The subtle stripes with the textured sandals pair together so nicely in neutral shades and look so classy. Don’t forget about the accessories when wearing neutrals, adding some tortoiseshell sunnies and a fun woven tote bag are so trendy and perfect for this season! {P.S. did you catch this roundup of under $100 straw totes?!}

April Edit: Stay At Home Comforts

During this quarantine many of us have been spending our time at home, probably more than we have ever imagined. There are a few items I have found that just make things at home a little more enjoyable. If you are like me, you most likely have been on your devices so much more these days, however, staring at your screen with blue light can really strain your eyes. I am a huge proponent of using blue light blocking glasses, and they are perfect to wear while working, or even watching TV.

I love my daily cup of coffee and while I do miss coffee shops, I’ve been getting creative with my drinks at home. This milk frother is fun and you can make a yummy barista-inspired latte with it. You could even make your own cold brew with this awesome little press. Something luxurious for quarantine time is a cute and comfortable lounge set. I love this soft pair of sweatpants and this cute tank!

I think we could all use a little at home spa every now and then too, so why not light an amazing scented candle and put on a soothing face mask. I like to put on a really thick and comfortable robe to make things extra relaxing! BTW, I have an official Mother’s Day gift guide coming next week, but these pretty pieces would make great gift ideas too!

March Edit: Pretty Pastels

It’s pastel season! As I’ve talked about recently, {check out my recent post on the best pastels for your skin tone!}, pastels are one of the biggest spring and summer 2020 trends, and I’m totally here for it! Soft shades and subtle hues are so pretty and girly, and can add color into an outfit in an understated, but adorable, way!

One of my favorite ways to wear pastels is actually through accessories! These peachy leaf earrings from Nordstrom are so cute and perfect for the coming spring and summer time, and the soft peach shade is a great subtle way to wear pastels. I also love this light pink bobby pin set. Hair accessories are so fun and really in right now {stay tuned for my favorites next week!}, not to mention these ones are a perfect pastel pink shade! And how cute is this baby blue pastel bag from TDE?! Not only is the pastel shade adorable, but this bag is also customizable! You can add text, in whatever font and font size you want, so you can add your initials or name, which I think is SO cute and fun!!

I think pastel shades are great in cozy sweaters – soft colors and soft sweaters! This fuzzy wool blend sweater from & Other Stories is such a pretty lavender shade and looks so cozy. This sweater is so easy to pair with jeans, white pants, or even a light floral skirt. This top from Nordstrom combines two of my favorite trends right now: pastels and puff sleeves. With a light peach floral pattern and slightly puffed sleeves, it’s the best of both worlds!! You can even find pastels in shoes! I love the light turquoise shade of these Steve Madden sandals, and the sandal style is so comfy and easy.

Another fun way to get those pastels into your look is with makeup! This peach makeup set from Anthropologie has blush, eye shadow, highlighter, and lipstick all in delicious shades of peach – so perfect for that glowy and natural makeup look! Nails are also a great way to go, there are so many pastel shades in nail polish! This nail polish comes in SO many pastel shades, but I love the soft blue for a subtle statement nail color. Adding that pastel nail color is the perfect way to finish off your pastel look!
