So today was my birthday! I’m starting a new year and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m not a fan of getting older but spending the day with the ones I love made me realize everything will be alright. There are lots of adventures still to be had!

Matthew took the day off and we spent it doing all fun things. We went shopping in the morning and he bought me the awesome sunglasses in the first picture! We had a yummy sushi lunch, a cupcake for dessert and in the afternoon we played with Ginger! It really doesn’t get any better than that!
I couldn’t have asked for a better day. Last year I spent my birthday with Matthew in SF and I flew back that night because I had work the next day. I remember the airline stewardess made me a toilet paper roll cake. Sounds weird and it was! She stuck those olive picks throughout the toilet paper and stuffed peanuts and pretzels between. It was so funny and sweet! Definitely made the flight more enjoyable.
Did you notice Ginger’s hair that sticks up? We call her our little mohair pup! She is the softest thing ever but I swear she has three different coats. She’s the funniest thing ever so it really fits.
