While I’m really excited about the new year, I’m also a little sad the holidays are over. The week between Christmas and New Year’s went by way too quickly but now it’s time to get back to work and the routine. When thinking about what resolutions I wanted to make I couldn’t help but think about how they never really last. It seems I can only hold onto them for a couple weeks, maybe a couple months max. So, instead of making a couple big resolutions I decided I want to make a bunch of little ones. Ones that are more manageable and can be completed in a shorter amount of time, say a week. That way at the end of the year I can look back on all these little things I did and feel good about it! Some are going to be really simple, others a little more challenging. I’m going to try to hold myself accountable by writing about the resolution of the week on Sundays. I’d love for any of you to join in with me! It could be fun! For this week my resolution is basically to be grateful for what I have. The holidays are consumed with so much excess and can unfortunately facilitate so much greed. As wonderful as it is to receive gifts, I want to be grateful for what I do have, without thinking about what else I “want/need.” I’m going to write my thank you notes and get them mailed out by the end of the week. I’m also not going to buy anything this week because I really don’t need anything. Those tempting sales aren’t going to get me.. muahahaha
Let me know if you guys are interested! You can come up with your own resolutions or you can join in on mine. Let me know if you want to participate and I can add you to a blog roll so you can see how everyone else is doing. Also, if you have any suggestions for challenges let me know by leaving a comment or emailing me! It would be awesome to get your support in this and I think it will make for a great and fulfilling year!
