It’s hard to believe that we’ve been back from our honeymoon for a little over a week now. Matthew and I had the most amazing time in Italy and I can’t wait to share some of our photos. I’m going to break my posts up into sections about the areas we traveled to, starting with Rome. Matthew and I luckily had a couple days in between the wedding and honeymoon which was amazing. I would highly recommend this for brides and brides to be. {There is so much going on the week of the wedding that it’s almost impossible to separate yourself from everything you’re doing to pack and get ready for the honeymoon. Having a couple days in between helped us manage everything a little better.} We flew into Rome and were there for 3 days. Our hotel {Hotel Abruzzi} was in the best location…right across from the Pantheon! It was so great to wake up and hear all the people bustling about, and smell espresso brewing downstairs at Tazza d’Oro. After adjusting to the major jet lag we had so much fun walking around and exploring the city!

Matthew’s favorite gelateria in all of Italy, Cremeria Monteforte Rome was a very busy city with lots of international tourists. There was so much to see, do and eat, and we tried to fit in as much as we could. By the end of the three days we were ready for the more laid back vibe of the countryside. That will be part 2!
