I think you know by now that I’m a fan of anything salty sweet. Chocolate dipped pretzels are one of my favorite things to make because they’re so easy and I usually have all the ingredients to make them at home, without needing to make a trip to the store. They don’t take long to make, especially if you cheat by putting them in the fridge for a half hour. I think this is a great snack to serve at parties and you can make them for any holiday by using different festive sprinkles!
Festive Chocolate Dipped Pretzel Rods
INGREDIENTS
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped baking white chocolate
1 bag of pretzel rods {unless you want to be extra ambitious and make your own!}
Assorted toppings {I used crushed candy canes, chopped walnuts and festive sprinkles}
DIRECTIONS
Put chocolate chips in a microwaveable container and microwave for 30 seconds. Take out and stir. If chocolate still isn’t melted microwave at 10 second intervals, stirring in between. Remember that chocolate keeps its shape when melted so you have to stir to see it melt.
Put white chocolate in a microwaveable container as well and do the same as above, until melted.
Dip pretzel rods into chocolate and apply toppings. Lay on parchment lined baking sheet and let cool for a few hours. If you’re in a rush, let cool in the refrigerator for a half hour and then enjoy!
