It’s been a striped filled week over here! First this post with the striped blouse, and now a pretty striped dress! I fell in love with this striped little number from Banana Republic as soon as I tried it on. You know why? It has pockets! I will love something even more if pockets are involved. They just make everything a little bit more comfortable! I love that this dress can go the fancier route, but it can also be styled a little bit more casually. For this outfit it was a mix. I paired it with a comfy turtleneck {the best layering piece!}, a statement necklace and some ankle strap heels. I love that the heels have dual ankle straps that kind of mimic the stripes on the dress. Analyzing a bit too much maybe but the takeaway? Stripes and pockets are the best, especially together!

Matthew and I are off tomorrow morning for a fun little weekend in San Francisco and I can’t wait! I think many of you know but Matthew and I met up in the Bay Area when I was in school. He was working and we were introduced through a mutal friend. San Francisco was our dating playground and we try to go up as often as we can; ideally we’d shoot for a visit 2 or 3 times a year. We went in March, but before that it was when we got engaged! So we’ve obviously had a tough time sticking to our plan! After our March trip we realized we shouldn’t feel the pressure to always drive up. Instead of a 6 hour car trip we can get a cheap 1 hr flight and public transportation is so easy in the city. I really can’t wait, especially since I heard the weather has been so nice!
What are your plans for the weekend? Anytime fun? Holiday shopping? Are we there yet even? I’m sure I’ll be procrastinating on that one!
