At the beginning of January I always crave a war on materialism. I take a day to do some deep cleaning, and closet purging. I donate bags of clothes that I haven’t worn in awhile, and I declare a shopping ban. Unfortunately the ban doesn’t last too long when I start seeing spring clothes. Since it’s never really winter in LA, I have much more fun shopping in the springtime. This embroidered mini is so pretty and has me dreaming of warm-weather excursions in a silky tank and a pair of pretty sandals. Of course, in my mind this outfit would also include a nice tan, one I can’t seem to get despite living in this city!

How was your weekend? Did you watch The Grammy’s last night? Matthew and I were a little underwhelmed but on our drive back from my parents we did a nice little medley of our favorite songs from back in the day. And by we I mean me. There was some Britney, some Spice Girls, Alicia Keyes, even some Disney! It’s crazy how you can remember lyrics so easily!
