One of my favorite things about fashion is that it’s fun. Getting dressed every day should be fun. Sometimes it’s a hassle, and other times the only thing that sounds perfect is the pair of flannel pjs you’re currently wearing, but when you do dress up, and find that one outfit that has yourself doing personal high fives, there’s that a-ha! moment. This is why being a girl is the best, right? One of my favorite ways to have fun with fashion is play with extremes. I love juxtaposing something sweet with something a little more tailored and masculine. I, especially, love pairing casual pieces with dressy ones {see yesterday’s post for a reference}. Is it fancy, is it laid back? You can never be over {or under!} dressed, so it’s really a win-win! This outfit above with it’s poufy ball gown skirt and camouflaged tee is one of those outfits I’d love to be wearing right now. I love how a tee {and a camo one in particular}, can totally alter the dressed up mood. Paired with statement cobalt heels, and a neon striped clutch, it has a very fun, yet glamorous feel. I’d style my hair in a messy low bun and put on this gorgeous matte velvet lipstick. I’d wear it to the grocery store and get some stares, ones of jealousy I’ll tell myself. Then I’d wear it on a date with Matthew, and he’d be a little confused if he should have worn a suit, or maybe his jeans and t-shirt are actually fine. Yes, this outfit would totally be worth it! I reached out to her towards the end of last year with some minor updates I wanted and then this comes out. It’s so fun to have worked with her on my last 3 designs! Yep, 3!
