Wow it’s already February 4th and I haven’t done by January highlights yet! Things have been a little crazy recently, and even though January seemed to have flown right by, we did fit a lot into the month. I feel like it was a great start to 2014: I learned some new things, I’m reading a great book, I tried to get into an early bedtime routine, I started fitting in morning workouts + eating healthier, and we’re planning some exciting things for the year! There’s a lot to look forward to! Here were some of my highlights from the first month of 2014:
- The eating healthy thing didn’t really start until January 2nd!
- Bought fresh flowers for our apartment! I love sunflowers!
- Learned something new by taking a calligraphy workshop the first weekend of the year! Still need to show you what I learned!
- Made many pb&js..for breakfast!
- Matthew tried on my sunnies and I think he likes them..a lot!
- Did a nail tutorial with gold stripping tape!! I loved playing with it and I’m planning a new one soon!
- Matthew and I had a fun South Bay weekend {we went hiking in Palos Verdes, antique shopping in Redondo Beach & got lunch on the Boardwalk}
- Spent many lazy mornings in bed. While I’ve been going to sleep earlier, for some reason it’s been extra hard to get up in the mornings. Matthew thinks I just wasn’t born with the early morning gene, but I so want to change that. I used to be so much better about being productive in the mornings, but now I just want to sleep in until the last possible minute!
- We had a fun, family dinner at 800 Degrees in Westwood. Their pizza is pretty good and you really can’t beat the price. You can get a margarita pizza for under $6! Crazy right?! Those UCLA kids are mighty lucky!
What were your highlights from January 2014?
