A week into June and I’m already loving it! May was a fine month but it was a little crazy. We had some big things happen like Matthew’s shoulder surgery, both are cars being hit in front of our house and some computer & phone issues. Yikes! June has been showing an optimistic side to things, though. Thank goodness! It’s my birthday month so I love this month even more! Here are some highlights from the fifth month of 2014:
- Matthew and I matched in black and white and our white Converse. We also celebrated three years married. Crazy how time flies, right?
- Had a fun Cinco de Mayo with fish tacos and chips and guac. The good stuff!
- We met my family for a dinner in Westwood at 800 Degrees, our favorite in between spot.
- Ginger and I had lots of playtime. Every time I get home she runs to bring me her ball. I quickly put my stuff done and then run outside with her to play. I think we both look forward to it!
- Distressed jeans and a lace top made for one of my favorite outfits in May! I photographed a version of this outfit here.
- Shot a lookbook for Morning Lavender in San Diego! Loved the gorgeous location, although it was a steamy 95 degree day!
- Treated myself to a mango smoothie! yum!
- Went to Big Sur for Memorial Day weekend with my parents. It was so fun to get away and see this cool town I’ve never been to. I totally needed a few days to relax. Read about our 36 hour trip here.
- Hosted a sample sale for Lulu & Georgia, one of my absolute favorite home sites!
What things did you love about May? Are you as excited about June as I am?
