This time of year is really my favorite. The temperatures start to drop, although not too much, and the leaves start to change color. There’s an excitement in the air around homecoming games, apple picking and several types of fall activities. One of my favorite things to do is go on evening walks with Matthew. We both get home, change into some comfortable clothes and trek out with Ginger usually in tow. I love the dimming light, the scattered leaves and the rustic smell that fills the air. When taking our walks I’ll usually pair jeans with a sweater and a stylish yet functional pair of boots.

There’s a duality of function and style that I love with SOREL boots. I’ve long admired their classic Joan of Arctic style but since I don’t live in, or travel to, the snow I couldn’t justify the purchase. These short boots are perfect for me though. They have a combo of waterproof leather, felt and material that will keep me dry during the rain and the Western-inspired look is super stylish for fall. I know I’ll get a lot of use out of these guys!
