Where to go apple picking in Southern California? This is a question Matthew and I ask ourselves every year during the fall. We’ve always wanted to find a beautiful apple orchard that feels like you’re out in the country. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find a place right in LA, for obvious reasons, but there is a great little town of Oak Glen, just 90 minutes outside of the city. After visiting for the afternoon, filling our baskets with apples, pigging out on apple cider donuts, and quenching our thirst with apple cider, we are determined to come back! They have an apple butter contest later in the year, and I heard they have an amazing pie shop! It would be so romantic to visit when it’s even colder and we can bundle up in jackets and scarves and drink hot cocoa! One season at a time though! Here are some photos from our apple-filled fall afternoon. First stop, Riley’s Apple Farm and then Snow-Line Orchard for some donuts and cider!
Mara is wearing: top Ruche, jeans AG, shoes Chinese Laundry {in brown and black too!}, hat Ruche, bag Fossil {also here}
Matthew is wearing: top J.Crew {he loves this long-sleeve plaid shirt}, jeans AG, sunglasses Carrera, boots similar
Have any of you been apple picking before? It’s such a fun experience and I hope it can become a yearly tradition for us!
