On Sunday we went to church, saw Gone Girl with my family {soo good but I highly recommend reading the book first! You’ll know why once you finish it!}, and did some work around the house. It was a totally packed couple of days but we had so much fun. We ended the weekend with homemade calzones for dinner and Matthew and I danced with Ginger to a song from Cinderella. We’re been moving things around so we have a little bit of a dance floor for the time being! It’s kind of the best thing ever! I so love my little family and I’m grateful for all the fun memories we get to make together. I hope you all had a lovely weekend as well!

There’s something great about a little black dress. You can wear it to work, on a date, or to a fancy event. When you’re wearing a dress and want to look your best, comfort is so key. This black dress just happens to be one of the most comfortable and flattering ones I own, which is a huge plus. The material is thick, yet stretchy, and embraces an hourglass silhouette. It’s hard to help but feeling ultra-feminine when you’re in a piece this this one. It’s a little bit of an investment but I think the versatility will make it worth it! I paired the dress with these gooooorgeous floral print heels by Ted Baker. I’ve been wearing them a lot because I always need a little floral in my life! My floral collection includes blazers, skirts, dresses, loafers and now heels! Kind of obsessed and totally ok with that!
dress LaPina by David Helwani, shoes Ted Baker {check out this peep-toe and a loafer version too!}, clutch Heather Belle {similar}, sunglasses Karen Walker Super Duper Strength, bracelets Sweet&Spark and Banana Republic
I hope you all had a great weekend! Matthew and I had a lot of fun and it was so great to spend it together. We kicked off Friday night with a date night at Plan Check Downtown. We haven’t been out on a real date in awhile and it was nice to check out the restaurant, as it’s the third opening in LA. Each location is heavily influenced by its surrounding area, and this one had some Korea Town vibes {Matthew had a Korean BBQ burger and I had a spicy tuna salad with puffed rice, sriracha vinaigrette and avocado). We both loved it! Saturday we took Ginger for a bagel run, grabbed lunch and coffee with my brother, and went to Laguna beach for the Gorjana 10 Year Anniversary Party {held at a beautiful ocean-front hotel!}.
