When Matthew and I got married, one of things I looked forward to most was our first Christmas. Besides getting our first tree, I loved that we put together surprise stockings for each other. I included some random things in his, like gift cards to his favorite restaurant, his candy of choice, a pack of playing cards with Santas on it, and he surprised me with movie tickets, a candle, and a cute bracelet. Now, I almost get more excited about opening our stockings than the actual gifts. Maybe it’s because everything is a surprise and it’s fun seeing the other’s reaction to each item. Since we usually spend a little bit more on our main gift to each other, the stockings are a fun little addition that we try to keep affordable. That means there might be handmade gifts or funny little trinkets included as well! I put together this list of gifts under $50.
