Last week I went to the Sassoon Salon in Beverly Hills to check out their Blow & Style menu. They recently came out with a quick menu for the girl who needs a blowout stat! Since I’m always going to different dinners and events, I was excited to check out what Sassoon’s stylists could do. They have two types of menus, one for girls with 45 minutes- 1 hour to spend, and another for a girl with only about a half hour. The girl with more time gets a shampoo, massage and conditioner, but no matter what, you’ll get some good pampering! I was super excited to check out the polished wave, curly wave, and disheveled pony. I even took away a secret trick to achieving the ponytail at home. Read on to learn all about it!
Pretty polished waves! This was my favorite look that I so wish I could do at home!
Etienne, the Regional Creative Director, made my hair into this crazy, sexy mess in under 30 seconds. Seriously! It’s amazing how you can transition polished waves so easily.
This rubber band + two bobby pin gadget will be your disheveled ponytail’s best friend!
You pin one bobby pin into the hair, and then you wrap the rubber band around and around, and then clip the other bobby pin back into the hair. This will give your ponytail a more pumped up/flirty look.
Wrap another piece of hair around the rubber band to hide it, and pin it in place.
Tease the ponytail to make it a little more disheveled.
You guys should totally try the ponytail at home, and see if you can do it! If not, I’d definitely recommend a trip to Sassoon. Lucky for you, they have locations all over the place {and hopefully close to you!}.
