Happy 4th of July everyone! If you’re looking for a fun drink to make today, or anytime this summer, try this Rose Sangria. Rose is having a major moment right now {I have the iPhone case to prove it!}, and it tastes so great with fresh fruit. I almost feel like a rose makes more sense than red or white wine in a sangria, don’t you think? You can use other fruit in this recipe, like blueberries or peaches, so feel free to experiment. We drank this the other night while we were grilling pizzas and it was so yummy and refreshing!
INGREDIENTS
1 bottle rose {I like the Santa Margarita Rose}
1/4 cup rum
2 Tablespoons apple liquor
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 cup raspberries
1 1/2 cups quartered strawberries
1 1/2 cups seltzer
mint, as garnish {optional}
DIRECTIONS
Mix the wine, liquor and sugar in pitcher, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Then add the raspberries and strawberries. Refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours, or up to a day. Just before serving, add the seltzer water.
