Dressing for Fashion Week stresses me out a little bit because, for the most part, my style is pretty casual. As much as I love the editorial, more done up looks, they don’t usually work for my lifestyle. When planning what to wear this year I really just chose pieces that I loved and knew I’d wear again. I wanted classic and versatile items, not ones I’d just wear once. I also wanted to feel comfortable and confident which is very important when you’re surrounded by gorgeous models and celebrities.
This dress was one I fell in love with on the hanger and then again when I tried it on. Mustard is one of my favorite colors to wear and it looks so great with a classic leather jacket. I wore this outfit backstage at Tracy Reese with these leopard pumps that you’ll be seeing a lot over the next few weeks {remember when I wore them with the pink skirt?}. I wore these heels with so many outfits during Fashion Week because they added a fun print, and the height was totally doable. Nothing worse than struggling in 5 inch heels. I’ve done it and it’s not fun, especially in NYC!

I’m sorry for the delay in today’s post! I had a very early morning flight out of NYC and my scheduling tool didn’t work for me. I just got back and noticed! Oops! It feels so good to be home after a week away. I got home right as Matthew was getting ready to walk out the door, though, on his own work trip. Luckily he’ll be back tomorrow but I miss that guy! We’re planning on going out for a nice dinner to catch up, and also to toast our 5 year engagement anniversary, which is today! Sometimes it’s fun to celebrate those special days. Can you believe it’s been 5 years already?! So crazy how time flies!
I hope you all are having a great week!
