I’m definitely a creature of habit so during the winter you can bet that every morning I’ll be having a big bowl of oatmeal. I love oatmeal for many reasons, and not just because it keeps me warm on chilly mornings. Oatmeal is healthy and filling, and gives me energy to get through until lunchtime. Did you know that oatmeal isn’t just for eating though? I’m sharing two products that contain one of my favorite ingredients that will keep you looking healthy and gorgeous this season!
I’ve been using St. Ives products for years, originally sucked in by the affordable price but stayed loyal because it also contains natural ingredients. One of my favorites from St. Ives is their Nourish & Soothe Oatmeal & Shea Butter Body Lotion. It’s incredibly soothing and hydrating, plus I love how it absorbs into my skin. It’s made with 100% natural moisturizers including shea butter which is my favorite! I typically apply the body lotion after I shower so that it gets to work asap on my freshly cleansed skin.
All the St. Ives body scrubs are amazing. Their Apricot Scrub has been a longtime favorite, but I thought while I’m on this oatmeal kick I might as well give the Nourished & Smooth Oatmeal Body Scrub a try! I love that there are 100% natural exfoliants, like walnut shells, plus oatmeal and honey. The scrub exfoliates to smooth away dull skin, but it’s also really gentle. My skin tends to be more sensitive during the winter months but I haven’t had any issues with this scrub. It’s been really great! The power of oatmeal is strong, let me tell ya!
So, now I’m guessing you all might be craving a big bowl of oatmeal, a hot shower, and some pampering! Well, you’re in luck! St. Ives has teamed up with OatMeals in NYC, which is the coolest oatmeal bar in Greenwich Village. If you’re oatmeal obsessed like I am, you HAVE to check it out! When you order a St. Ives Radiance Boost Bowl {it comes with rolled oats, dried pears, almonds, apricots, dried cranberries, crystallized ginger and honey}, you’ll get a free sample from St. Ives. And if you’re not in NYC, maybe you can recreate the bowl at home and get yourself some lotion and scrub from your local store!
Now, since we’re talking about oatmeal, I’d love to hear your favorite combo! Are you a brown sugar and blueberries girl, or maybe maple syrup and pecans? Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, which is why sometimes I can’t help but have it for dinner too! I better not be alone in that!
