One of my favorite, go-to hair styles is a messy bun! I feel like more often than not, though, it’s a process to make it look natural and effortless. The times when my messy buns look the best is when I’m not even trying, like at 10pm when I’m putting my hair up to wash my face. Why can’t this happen in the mornings?! I can’t tell you how often I’ll put my hair into a bun to only take it down and try again and again…and again. I reached out to my friends at Fiore Beauty to see if they could help me conquer the messy bun once and for all! Read on for their expert tips in this Messy Bun Hair Tutorial.
MESSY BUN HAIR TUTORIAL
STEP 1//
Put your hair up into a high ponytail.
STEP 2//
Apply dry shampoo through the pony for added texture. R+Co makes a great one that smells amazing! Let it dry for a few minutes and then slightly tease hair.
STEP 3//
Separate the hair into two sections. Twist each half individually, and then wrap each twisted half around each other until you reach the ends. You’ll then take the hair, wrap it around the base of your ponytail, and secure with bobby pins.
STEP 4//
Lastly, pull through or fan out the hair for a bit of a fuller bun. This is important in making it seem more messy! Spray with a light hairspray, like this one by Oribe.
Easy enough, right? Try it out and let me know what you think!
