One of my favorite hairstyles of last summer was the half up bun look! It’s casual but still has a little cool factor. When you’re not wanting to do a proper messy bun, a half bun works wonders!

Fiore Beauty is back showing you how to create this extremely wearable hairstyle. It’s beyond easy, just you wait! Last summer, this hairstyle became my go-to look for beach days and casual weekend outfits. Read on for a Half Up Bun Hairstyle Tutorial that you’ll totally appreciate:

Half Up Bun Hairstyle Tutorial

STEP 1//

Section off top half of hair starting right above the ears, moving across to the other ear. Make sure to leave a clean part.

STEP 2//

Secure hair at the crown into a ponytail. You can pull out a few face-framing pieces or fringe for a less structured, more relaxed look.

STEP 3//

Work a texturizer through entire hair (both top and bottom half). Zoraida from Fiore Beauty loves the Redken Braid Aid. It adds extra texture and definition, plus it’s holds in layers!

STEP 4//

Take hair in ponytail and either make it into a fishtail {like we did here}, or twist/wrap it {like we did in this messy bun tutorial} around ponytail into a bun, fanning out hair and securing with pins.

STEP 5//

Finish off bottom half of hair with a beach spray. This Fashion Waves 07 is a great one for some beach girl waves!
