Happy Thanksgiving to all you lovelies out there!
This year, more than any other year, I’m full of so much thanks. God was good to me in 2016, really good. He blessed me with the best gift in the entire world, my sweet Augustine. I thank Him every day for this special life that’s been entrusted to me. I just hope that I can be the best mommy to him that I can be.
I’m also so thankful for my husband. Marriage isn’t easy, especially when you add a little babe to the mix, but Matthew has been my rock. He helps out whenever he can and is always so appreciative. When you’re a new mom, a lot is on your plate. It’s a lot of pressure and it’s easy to feel like you have to do everything. Matthew does little big things though, that go a long long way, like bring me water when I’m nursing, start dinners, and even give me back rubs. I don’t know what I’d do without him! I feel like we’re learning to become a team and it’s pretty exciting.
I’m very thankful for friends and family members, especially those who have made extra effort these past few months. My Dad made so many meals and dishes for us, my Mom came over to help wash dishes and do laundry, friends dropped off lunches and sent encouraging emails and texts. This meant so much in those early, sleep-deprived, newborn days.
I’m extremely thankful for all my sweet readers too! I know blogging has changed a ton since I started in 2009 and there are so many different ways you can follow along, whether it’s Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. But for you all to come here, read my stories, and leave comments means so much. There are a ton of incredible bloggers out there and I feel lucky to have gained your friendship and support!
