One of my favorite styles this summer has been the flourishing of florals! There are so many different styles and colors to choose from but one floral trend I can’t seem to get enough of is the darker florals, whether it be midi dresses or blouses. Today I’m styling a blouse with denim shorts for summer. Because of the dark florals, you can dress it up a bit, but it could also go more casual. I’m all about that kind of versatility!

One go-to combo that I lean towards is floral and denim. I just bought this cute long sleeve floral top at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, and I have no regrets! It’s a long sleeve but the material actually keeps me cool, especially living by the beach. Plus, it has perfect flowy bell sleeves!
These midi length shorts are the perfect pairing for this long-sleeved top. I find that if I pair shorter denim with long sleeved tops it tends to look a bit uneven, but that’s why I like the distressed midi look of these shorts. If you’re worried they’ll make you look too short, it doesn’t hurt to spice up the outfit with some cute block heels. It adds some length! I love finding new ways to style heels with everyday outfits.
