You guys, did I tell you what we did for New Years? A whole lot of nothing! We had just driven back from Cambria so we were exhausted, especially the little guy. Traveling with the little one on a road trip is a lot of work. And takes almost double the time. Nevertheless, Matthew and I were able to have a nice little dinner just the two of us. Although, of course, now I can’t remember what we had. Probably some pasta and definitely some crusty bread with olive oil. That’s what we ate pretty much every night in December on our “Pasta Parade.” January has been rough food-wise! I wore this pretty sequin dress because even if you’re home, it’s nice to dress up for a special night like nYE.
If you’re looking for a sequin dress to wear after the new year, I love this bronze one! The thing I really love about this dress is that it’s a more classic sequin dress style- not too clubby/crazy. And I think it would be gorgeous for any event, any time of year, when you want to wear a little sparkle! Because a little sparkle is always a good thing!

This dress feels a little mod with the silhouette {shift style with bell sleeves}, so I styled my hair more straight and added big sunnies and bow heels. After wearing this dress, it made me realize how much I really love this cut. I feel like I need more dresses that are in this loose swing style. It’s just so easy for day to day, and not tight or uncomfortable. Love the idea of getting a more casual dress like this one and pairing it with a cute pair of sneakers. Speaking of sneakers, I just got this pair and I’m obsessed! Aren’t they fun? I’m definitely trying to amp up my sneaker game since I’m so busy running after Augustine now. Heels seem to only work for the weekends!
