One thing you may not have noticed me wearing though are the most gorgeous pair of small gold and diamond huggies. What’s a huggie?? A huggie is a new earring trend that I have just fallen in love with! Keep reading to find out what a huggie is and why I’ve been gravitating towards delicate jewelry lately!

These are My Favorite Dainty Jewelry Pieces

Okay back to huggies. What is a huggie exactly?? {Hint: not a diaper!} Huggies are very small hoop earrings that “hug” your earlobes. They are especially popular for second or third piercings because they are so simple. I just know when our new baby arrives {so so soon!} that I’ll be wearing these every day. In fact, I already have been! They’re a bit of a splurge from this brand that I’ve loved following Noemi, but they really are the best everyday earring and I think they’re worth it for the quality. I also love this less expensive version though!

When I’m staying home with our new baby for the first few months, I know I won’t be going out as much or getting dressed up as often. I wanted a pair of earrings I could comfortably wear everyday so my piercings don’t close up. It was also important to me that they were real gold so I don’t have to take them off to shower. I also love that they won’t be as easy for the baby to grab and pull on once she gets more curious! I mean, if she’s anything like her mama she’ll be very drawn to jewelry!

I’ve always loved dainty jewelry because it just makes outfits look effortless but still feminine. There is just something so chic about a delicate chain necklace {like this one that my mother in law gave me for Christmas!} or simple rings {love this inexpensive set!}.
