I know it’s May tomorrow, but my skin still seems to be recovering from the cold and dry winter air. What’s with that? Maybe the long, sleepless nights with Corinna and a toddler running around all day bave been a contributing factor to my dull skin as well. Either way, believe it or not, summer is beginning to near and my skin is not ready for it! Full days at the pool and beach often mean no makeup, so I want crystal clear skin by the time the season kicks off. At least that’s what I hope! I’ve found some facial beauty products that will hopefully give my skin that extra bounce, glow, and brightness! Read below to see the products I’m going to be using this month to hopefully achieve some flawless skin.
May Beauty: Crystal Clear Skin
Glow Recipe Pineapple-C Brightening Serum
Pineapple juice for my skin? Yes please! Apparently, this delicious fruit has the ability to create a brighter and smoother look to the skin due to its natural vitamin C, AHA and bromelain enzymes. It also has a little bit of chamomile which is a great, gentle way to calm and soothe skin! I am so looking forward to trying this as I’ve been noticing my skin is looking a little blotchy and this product is literally designed for creating even-toned, glowing, glass skin!
KORRES Wild Rose Makeup Melter Cleansing Oil
Part of making sure I am keeping my skin clear and healthy is making sure I wash all of my makeup off before I go to bed, and I’ve realized not all face washes get the job done. With that, I am looking forward to giving this cleansing oil a try, as it is a gentle, weightless face cleanser designed to “melt” away all impurities and makeup {including waterproof} on the skin! As a plus, it contains super vitamin C, and all natural ingredients like wild rose, almond, jojoba and rice bran oil!
Estée Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Aging Crème
I have had this product for a while, and have yet to really try it out yet! But a newborn and toddler are definitely adding on some years to my skin and I think its time I start putting this anti-aging cream to use! This moisturizer pairs with Moringa extract, which helps skin renew naturally and reduce the look of lines and wrinkles.
Peace Out Microneedling Dark Spot Brightening Dots
I’ve tried several washes and moisturizers meant to lighten the appearance of dark spots, and haven’t always seen the results I was looking for. When I came across this product, I was excited because for one, it has great reviews, but also takes a new approach to fixing these trouble spots. It uses microneedling technology, which creates micro-channels within the skin that help deliver results in half the time than other treatments! This is the product I’m most excited about so I’ll definitely keep you posted on how it works!
Toners can be so underrated and are often left out in so many skin routines, but they really can make such a difference! This toner sounds amazing, as it is made to cleanse, tone and hydrate, so it does everything in one! It infuses the skin with antioxidants to clarify and uses fatty acids and vitamins to protect against free radicals and any other harsh factors. I am looking forward to using a toner that will leave my skin feeling so refreshed and correct and repair any flaws in my skin. Plus I loooove all the Arcona products I’ve used in the past!
April Beauty: Radiant Skin and Hair
Watermelon Glow Ultra Fine Mist
This is a great little face mist! I love the compact size so it’s perfect for taking on the go, and would even be great stored in an office desk. The mist is super fine and won’t leave your face feeling wet or soaked. It also smells amazing! Like a Starburst. I do think the price is a little high for the size but I appreciate the convenience aspect of it. I’d say try it out if you have a coupon or gift card or something!
I’ve been really needing a new leave-in conditioner so I was so happy to start using this one! The first thing I notice is the scent – strong but nice. If you’re sensitive to scents though, maybe smell it beforehand. This leave-in conditioner is a great detangler. My hair has gotten so long and I feel like I spend a good 5 minutes combing it out after showers. With a few sprays of this conditioner, I’m able to get a lot of knots out!
Philosophy Ultimate Miracle Worker Eye Cream
A nice smooth and velvety eye cream! A little goes a lot way and I feel like it keeps my undereyes very hydrated, which is good for fine lines! I still have bags under my eyes but with a newborn I’m not sure any product is capable of such miracles!
Burt’s Bees Zen Purely White Toothpaste
I’m so happy to have found a good, clean toothpaste! The flavor is great but more importantly, I feel like it really cleans my teeth and makes them look a little brighter. I’ll definitely continue buying this toothpaste since it’s free from so many bad ingredients. Burt’s Bees is the best!!
Ok this is a total splurge product but if you’re into face rollers I would highly recommend this gold bar from Jillian Dempsey! It’s a vibrating bar so it gives an amazing facial massage and it is so relaxing. I use this with my face serum and it’s become a step I really look forward to!
