Since winter finally seems to be going away and spring is making an appearance, I have chosen some beauty products to try this month that will be essential as we transition into my all time favorite season! The dry and cold air from the past couple months dried me out and I really need some refreshing products for my hair skin, and even my teeth. When the sun is bright, I want my hair and skin to be just as radiant, so here are some beauty products I’m hoping will make that happen!
April Beauty: Radiant Skin and Hair
Watermelon Glow Ultra Fine Mist
Now that the sun is shining and the air is warmer, I’m in need of a refreshing, gentle mist to keep my skin glowing and feeling fresh! This mist is unique because it uses watermelon, hyaluronic acid, and hibiscus to hydrate and sooth any irritation on your skin, and smells delicious on top of that! I am excited to use it as a setting spray for my makeup too since it’s a lightweight mist. Radiant skin here I come!
I’ve been loving all of my goodies in my fabfitfun box (you can use code Mara10 for $10 off), but this is one of the products I’ve been the most excited to use! My hair is still recovering from the seemingly never-ending dry air of this past winter season, so a multitasking leave in conditioner is essential to repair all the extra damage and frizz. I’ve wanting to use a leave-in conditioner lately as I don’t have as much time to style my hair, so quickly running this product through my hair after a shower is such an easy fix!
Philosophy Ultimate Miracle Worker Eye Cream
My sweet baby Corinna has been keeping me up for some long hours during the night, so it’s safe to say I am in need of some miracle work to get rid of these dark under eye circles. I am excited to put this cream to the test and see if I notice any diminishing puffiness! It also contains broad spectrum SPF, so when I finally do make it back to the beach this spring, my under eyes will be protected from those strong sun rays.
Burt’s Bees Zen Purely White Tooth Paste
As much as love sharing my thoughts on my favorite hair and beauty products, it’s so important to not forget about dental hygiene! Especially with Easter near, I know I am not going to be able to control myself around all the sweets and treats. Burt’s Bees is one of my all time favorite brands and I’ve always enjoyed their products, so I am excited to try their toothpaste! As a plus, it’s fluoride free and has a fresh peppermint taste that leaves your mouth feeling super fresh and clean.
I’ve been so curious about those jade roller bars but haven’t had a chance to try them out. When I first heard about this product though, it sounded even more beneficial. Jillian Dempsey, a renowned makeup artist, discovered this 24 carat gold bar in Japan, and began using it on her own clients. Apparently, it’s like a mini massage for the face! Described as a sculpting and contouring tool, it claims to give an immediate toned and lifted look. My face has definitely been a bit puffier lately with my lack of sleep so I am so looking forward to trying this!
March Beauty Picks: Simple Beauty Products
I was looking forward to using this product since I have been less than happy with my hair lately. I felt like it needed a little oomph other than the typical weekly deep conditioner. I tried this gloss and I do feel like it made my hair look a lot shinier the next day. One thing I noticed was that it didn’t last as long as I would like. Nevertheless, if you have an event like a party or a photoshoot, this could be perfect!
Erno Laszlo Multi-Task Eye Serum Mask
I’m realizing I have less and less time for my bi-weekly at-home masks. The process of putting both kids down to sleep at night takes longer than expected and then usually I’m exhausted too. These eye masks are so easy though and perfect to throw on whenever. I looove how they feel on my skin-so refreshing, and I do think they dinimished my typical puffy under eyes! I’ll definitely continue using these!
Dr Brandt Recovery Sleeping Mask
I used this sleeping mask religiously for the past month and I have about 2 more nights left in the jar. It goes on in a thick, almost slippery consistency but it absorbs well. My skin has been looking surprisingly good in the mornings and, considering the lack of sleep I’ve been getting, I think it might be thanks to this mask. I’ve noticed that my skin looks clearer and brighter with a lot less redness. Redness is always my main skin concern because I get a lot of hyperpigmentation. The mask has also made my skin feel very soft and hydrated; it’s not as dry as usual. I would definitely recommend this product!!
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Medium 1 Custard
This is a great concealer! It goes on smoothly and covers well without being too thick. I also love that it doesn’t cake. It actually looks very natural. If you’re looking for a good daily concealer, I would recommend trying this one!!
Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation in Vienna
I love NARS! It was great to try out this foundation along with the concealer this month. It gives great coverage without being too heavy and I felt like this shade was a perfect match for my skin. I loved how I wa able to get coverage all day long that looked natural and blended well with my bronzer and blush.
Lancer Dani Glowing Skin Perfector
This is a fun product to try if you want to give your skin a little bit of shimmer! I personally love how the floral scent, but it might be strong for some. I would apply this product alone or I would put it on underneath my foundation. I liked how it made my skin look light and bright but not overly shiny. The price is a little high but maybe you can get a sample to see what you think about it!
