As dreary and gloomy as a rainy day can be, I can’t help but get excited when it starts to sprinkle because it means I get to break out my favorite rainy day outfits! We experienced quite a bit of rain this season, which was a bit unusual. Although this meant a lot of days trapped inside with Augustine and a lot of longing for sunshine, I loved embracing rainy day style!

A staple for any rainy day outfit is, of course, the classic rain boot! When I first bought my Hunter rain boots, I was worried I wasn’t going to get much wear out of them. I wanted to buy them used on Poshmark, since I knew they were not going to be super practical here in sunny Southern California. Poshmark has been a true life saver this season, I have been finding so many great deals on there! I also found this Mansur Gavriel Lady Leather Bag on Poshmark as well. Originally this bag was almost $900 so used was the only option for me! Buying used clothing and handbags is such a great way to save money on your wardrobe, particularly for season-specific styles, and more often then not the products are of incredible quality! I resell a lot of my clothes and accessories through my Poshmark account. Also check out this really similar, more affordable vegan leather bag!
Rain jackets are a true wardrobe essential and I love that there can be so many different styles of them! I found this adorable pink raincoat from Madewell {which is currently having up to 30% Off with using the code SPEND2SAVE!} and have paired it was a casual, comfy striped tee! I love the pink, but a classic yellow one like this would be so cute!
When it rains down here, it usually doesn’t get super cold so I don’t want to be wearing too many layers. A simple tee is perfect for under a rain coat! The look can also be a bit dressed up with an elegant trench coat {this one is 40% Off right now!} for either a more professional or dressier occasion!
Skinny jeans or leggings are for sure the way to go when wearing rain boots and longer jackets! I think a simple white skinny jean is always a great look, especially with a more colorful top or jacket, like some of the others I found {see below}! If you want to be extra comfy, these leggings are one of my favorites!
