A sunny season deserves some bright, fun trends! Luckily, I have found two spring trends that I am absolutely crazy about! Mustard dresses and poms! Mustard is a color I have turned to many times over the years and poms are just so fun! Keep reading to see how I’m wearing these spring trends!

To me, mustard is the perfect color for any season. I especially love it in the fall, but felt the pom additions to this dress was a really fun way to make this dress feel appropriate for spring and summer. I think because mustard is a more muted version of yellow, it’s a little easier to wear and mix colors with. I particularly love how mustard looks with light pink! I paired this dress with these brown sandals. But I think these millennial pink sandals in a similar style as to the pair I’m wearing would look fantastic too!
Alright, let’s talk poms! Normally you see them on summery beach bags, like this adorable straw tote, but I really appreciate that the dress I found at J.Crew is wearable any season! BTW! This dress comes in a really cute top version. The reason I was drawn to this straw bag was because it has some edgier black leather features grounding the bag a bit. I think that’s what helps this bag work in spring or even fall!
I also found this dress that would be perfect for a wedding! It’s mustard, but instead of poms has little dots all over it. It’s a bit of a splurge, but isn’t it dreamy?!

Today is Matthew’s and my 8 year wedding anniversary!! Can you believe it?! I really can’t believe how quickly the time has flown by but we’ve also done a lot- most of which has been documented here on the blog. We aren’t doing any big celebrating this year since we have our hands full with baby Corinna and toddler Augustine but maybe we’ll go out for a family dinner or something. We’ve had our fancy date night anniversary dinners but I’m much looking forward to a casual celebration this year!
I hope you all had a great weekend! I was on solo parenting duty on Saturday and was very ambitious with our first park outing. Luckily it went really well though and Corinna was actually asleep in the carrier the whole time. I was happy for us all to be together on Sunday though! The weather is finally warming up so we’ve been playing a lot outside and working on planting our vegetables and flowers. I really love spring!
