It’s time to face the facts…I might just need to be a jeans and t-shirt kind of gal now! I’ve traded sky high heels and little clutches for roomy tote bags and comfy flats. Most days I am in desperate need of a cute and casual outfit, something that works for mom life but won’t feel too blah. I think I’ve found my go-to casual outfit and chances are you have a similar combo in your wardrobe as well!

The reason I like this outfit so much is not just because it’s comfortable, although that for sure helps! Somehow the classic ballet flats combined with a striped top and a red lip feels so French. I’ll take Parisian chic any day of the week! And how cute is this peplum striped top?! Or this tee with a high-low hem?
These styles are probably ones you have in your closet but forget about. Why not embrace casual and step it up with a great red lipstick. Or an amazing pair of earrings?! Aren’t these jeweled hoops so unique? They’d be perfect to dress up a basic white tee.
The black flats I’m wearing are super comfortable and I feel like they’re a great investment piece! But if you’re looking for a similar style on a budget, this pair is super similar and has really good review! And how cute would this red pair be with this outfit? I’m really loving the cropped look of these jeans {a similar more affordable pair} I picked up during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I think I was drawn to this top because it feels like a t-shirt, but the ruffled sleeves add a little oomph. Just an FYI, it runs big, so size down if you order online! A black and white shirt is a classic, but there’s no reason you can’t dress it up a bit!
