As we navigate this turbulent and constantly shifting landscape we’ve all found ourselves on, I want to make sure I’m providing you with the best resources I can! One area I know a thing or two about is working from home. I’ve been working from home for several years now and think I’ve picked up some pretty helpful tips along the way that I can share with you, including what work from home products I have to have on hand! Would love to know what you’d add to the list too!

During these uncertain times, many of us have been working from home, which can be super challenging if you aren’t used to it. Over the years I’ve found a system that works great for me and that includes having a few helpful tools on hand.

I start every single workday by creating a  plan. For me, this involves scheduling my must-do tasks around the kids’ nap times. Which is why I can’t go a day without my Erin Condren Planner {can’t believe it is 50% off right now!}. This planner helps me prioritize my tasks for the day, as well as see what I have coming up. I highly suggest devoting time to creating a schedule that works for you and writing it out in a planner. When I’m working on a big project or have some major deadlines coming up, I like to make them on a large wall calendar so you can see it everyday. This option is more affordable and super cute! I love that both can be reused month after month.

Next, you can create an environment that you feel productive in with some items you would normally keep at your desk. When I need a little boost, I love the slightly fruity Harney & Sons Paris, Black Tea. Matthew doesn’t really like tea and even he loves this blend! To make sure my tea actually stays hot, I use a Yeti mug. I really like that it’s basically spill-proof, which has already saved my laptop more times than I can count!

When I’m not working in my home office, I’ll use a lumbar support pillow, which makes a makeshift office chair {like a seat at the kitchen table!} so much more comfortable. It’s so easy to work for hours at home and then realize you haven’t moved or stretched in ages, so I appreciate some extra support.

It can be easy to get distracted, especially when you’re working from home, so using a timer, like this one, makes a huge difference. I will use it when I don’t want any distractions and I love how it helps me power through to get things done. I’m always surprised at how efficient I can be in a shorter period of time.

P.S. Here are some of my other tried and true working     from home tips if you’re interested!
