There are so many ways you can style shorts, but I am going to show you my favorite way to style them. Believe it or not, there are ways to dress them up! You can make your shorts look classy, elegant, and stylish. I love dressier shorts so much. By dressier shorts, I mean shorts that aren’t denim, soft, or distressed. They are so fall friendly for the transition period that we are in right now where it is still a bit hot, but also feels less casual than the summertime! I started off with these drapey shorts (on sale now!) that I am wearing and styled them with this comfortable striped pullover that matches really well with it. It was so easy to create a classy and fashionable outfit with those two items! It was a bit chilly outside so I layered a simple denim jacket that kept me warm! All that was left to do is choose a pair of shoes and accessorize a bit. I am wearing these flats that are bit more on the pricier side, but are super high quality. I accessorized with this adorable woven hat that I love to wear often. I also love these sunglasses that help protect my eyes and look so cute! I am also carrying this tote bag that holds all of my essentials. These accessories definitely complete the outfit. Last but not least, I decided to put on some lipstick! It gives it that pop it needs in the look. I really love this color on the skin, this matte lipstick pencil is so easy to swipe on.
There are so many great alternatives to dressy shorts. I rounded up some of my favorites and I am sure that you will love them! These drapey trouser shorts are just like the ones I wore and they are so cute. I also really like these paperbag shorts (under $50!) and I find them so adorable. I would pair any of these shorts with a nice blouse or top like this long sleeve button up that is lightweight and comfortable. Pretty much any white or neutral colored blouse would look fantastic with dark colored shorts. This embroidered square neck top would look so adorable with dressy shorts. If it’s cold outside, throw on a cardigan to keep you warm and cozy!
Are you into prints and designs? If you are, there are really cute items that have prints on them you will love! These smocked shorts are perfect for fall because of their pretty color! These brocade shorts are great as well, they look so classy and luxurious. Printed shorts go great with plain tops and blouses, or even a bodysuit!
The secret to dressing up shorts is to accessorize. Everyone needs a pair of small hoop earrings like these chunky small hoops! These earrings seriously make an outfit look so much better.Don’t worry if you don’t have ear piercings! Wear a necklace like this gold chain necklace instead, it will compliment your outfit just as well. There are so many ways to dress up shorts for fall, these are just my favorites!
