Oh gosh, I really need to do a post about sunscreens. I’ve been using this Clinique one lately but I feel like it makes my skin a little greasy. So weird because I really loved this City Block Sunscreen of theirs! After the greasy one, though, I switched to this Skinceuticals sunscreen which makes my skin feel kind of matte. I can’t decide what I think about it. I recently got the Supergoop sunscreen and the Coola sunscreen so I’ll let you know what I think about those! (or remind me!!) If you know of a good one, let me know!
Hi! Yes I’m Catholic. My faith is something that’s very important to me and I’m so happy with the response I’ve gotten sharing more about it. I know everyone believes in different things though and I completely respect everyone’s personal beliefs. I believe God created us all and our differences are what make us so special and unique!
I’m always looking for inspiration too! I did a post about Our Go-To Meals for Augustine, but I probably should update it now that he’s eating a lot more. Currently breakfast is a scrambled egg with mushrooms and herbs (maybe some cheese), Greek yogurt with berries, a green smoothie, or steel cut oats with almond butter, chia seeds and banana. Lunch and Dinner are usually a bunch of random things including leftovers earlier or the night before. He loves beans so I like to make soups (lentil and chili are his favorite). I will sometimes still make an eggplant puree for him because he loves it. He really really really loves sweet potato and cheese so he snacks on that throughout the day, or whenever he sees it in the oven/fridge. Maybe I’ll do an updated post about this next month! Also, if you follow along on InstaStories I try to share his meals there when I make a winner!
Oh I hear ya mama! This is something that I feel deeply. Ever since we moved, I’ve missed having my local mama friends. We met in a Mommy & Me class that we attended weekly throughout the first year. These mamas have provided so much support to me and we still chat daily, although I miss the weekly get-togethers and play dates. I would say definitely see if there’s a local Mommy & Me group you can join. I loved the Mother Nurture Network in Redondo Beach and I’ve heard about The Pump Station in Santa Monica. See if there are any groups around you that meet and have kids the same age. There’s also this group called the Moms Club and they have chapters all over. I looked into joining our local one with Augustine. I think it’s $40 a year but it goes towards the group’s activities. It sounds so fun and now that Augustine is walking I’ll have to look into it again. I think park dates might spark friendships though, and it might even start with the kids bonding first. I’ll be thinking of you and hoping you can make some good mama friends!
