Lately I’ve been debating getting these ROUND TORTOISE SUNGLASSES. I have them in black and wear them all the time, so I’m thinking the tortoise style would be just as big of a favorite, and also give me a break from my go-to tortoise pair. Every time I wear them I get so many compliments {someone even said they made me look like Miranda Kerr!}. I think it’s just a really flattering style, so I’m all about it!
A CHAMBRAY SHIRT DRESS is such a good piece for your wardrobe. It is comfortable and looks great with boots and a scarf. This PLAID SCARF would be a nice, seasonal choice! I love the lighter purple, blue and red pattern. If you’re looking for a more traditional plaid, this OVERSIZED SCARF would be a great option. It looks so cozy!
I wore brown lace-up flats throughout fashion week, and while they were great I thought a print would make them stand out a bit more. Of course I came home and found these LACE-UP FLATS IN LEOPARD {and for under $100!}. I also love THIS PRINTED PAIR that’s a little more of a splurge. I think they’d go with so much and keep me very comfortable!
This MATTE LIPSTICK in Desire is such a gorgeous shade for the cooler months. I love matte lipsticks, especially during fall/winter, so I’m looking to add a few more to my collection. I think this one would add a perfect amount of drama!
Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Dressing for Fashion Week stresses me out a little bit because, for the most part, my style is pretty casual. As much as I love the editorial, more done up looks, they don’t usually work for my lifestyle. When planning what to wear this year I really just chose pieces that I loved and knew I’d wear again. I wanted classic and versatile items, not ones I’d just wear once. I also wanted to feel comfortable and confident which is very important when you’re surrounded by gorgeous models and celebrities.
This dress was one I fell in love with on the hanger and then again when I tried it on. Mustard is one of my favorite colors to wear and it looks so great with a classic leather jacket. I wore this outfit backstage at Tracy Reese with these leopard pumps that you’ll be seeing a lot over the next few weeks {remember when I wore them with the pink skirt?}. I wore these heels with so many outfits during Fashion Week because they added a fun print, and the height was totally doable. Nothing worse than struggling in 5 inch heels. I’ve done it and it’s not fun, especially in NYC!

I’m sorry for the delay in today’s post! I had a very early morning flight out of NYC and my scheduling tool didn’t work for me. I just got back and noticed! Oops! It feels so good to be home after a week away. I got home right as Matthew was getting ready to walk out the door, though, on his own work trip. Luckily he’ll be back tomorrow but I miss that guy! We’re planning on going out for a nice dinner to catch up, and also to toast our 5 year engagement anniversary, which is today! Sometimes it’s fun to celebrate those special days. Can you believe it’s been 5 years already?! So crazy how time flies!
One of my favorite things about the fall season, besides the highly anticipated drop in temperatures, is the fashion. Fall is probably my favorite season to dress for. The colors, the textures, the patterns…it’s all so perfect! I always have a wish list a mile long but it can get expensive to buy so many new clothes so I try to add in pieces from websites like HauteLook. I’ve been shopping on HauteLook for years and I love that they curate some of the best shopping events and the prices are so much lower than you’d get at retail.
Here is my edit of some great fall clothing that can be found on HauteLook today! Take a peek at the looks and then get your booty over to the sale! Your fall wardrobe will be very happy with you..promise!
I love wearing cozy sweaters with skirts during the fall. This Thakoon Addition skirt was perfect in New York because it worked for the warmer days, and the cooler days. Ankle boots have become a year-round staple for me, but they definitely are a must during autumn. This pair by DUNE London is extremely comfortable and was such a great choice while walking all over the city.
You really can’t go wrong with a leopard coat! It is so stylish and adds a fun print to any outfit. I love that it’s a piece I can throw on and it totally makes the look. When it’s chilly out and you have to leave your coat on, it’s nice to have outerwear that makes a statement all on it’s own. Plus, it’s a piece you’ll have and wear forever! I wore this Persaman purse as a clutch in the first outfit but I added the chain strap for the second. It’s such a versatile piece and that deep navy is a very versatile color…it even could work with black!
What clothing are you most excited to wear this fall? Chunky knits? Skirts? Plaid dresses?
