I’ve been so excited about shooting and sharing this outfit with you all! I became obsessed with this pink pleated skirt when I saw it online and waited anxiously for it to arrive in the mail. It reminds me of this longer version I had last winter {worn here}. Paired with a classic white button up shirt, this would be a great outfit for the office, but how cute would it be styled with a light pullover sweater? An animal print seemed like the necessary addition for this outfit so I added in these new leopard shoes. {Get ready to see more of these by the way!} I love how all these neutrals work together! It’s feminine but so fun…just my style!

How was your weekend everyone? Mine was busy! I hosted an event down in Orange County on Saturday that was a lot of fun, and then Sunday Matthew and I did a ton of research for an upcoming trip. I think I’d mentioned to you guys before that we’ve been wanting to go on a Europe trip. As excited as I am {we booked our flights!}, it’s so exhausting researching hotels, flights, and possible itineraries. I guess there’s a reason why we like going to Hawaii…it’s so easy!
Also, I’ve been working on designing our front living room and finding a side table in a specific color and width, and not crazy expensive, has been such a challenge. I’m hoping to share more of the design process with you soon because I’m so excited about this room! I just need to find that darn side table!

Happy Friday everyone! Sorry for the lapse in Friday Frives around here! They’re one of my favorites posts to put together but I recently got a new computer and I haven’t gotten Photoshop yet. I’m excited to start putting together some fall outfit inspiration collages though!
This outfit makes me so happy when I look at it. I love the orangey red tassel flats and the aqua green pleated top. I think these colors look so fun and vibrant together!
Yesterday I went to lunch with Katie Dean who owns her own handmade jewelry company in LA. She is one of the sweetest people and is so creative. I felt like I could have chatted with her all afternoon. She was wearing this adorable gold nugget necklace {aptly named Gold Rush}, which of course is from her own collection. It’s a piece that would be great for a West Coast resident, or anyone searching for their own precious gold.
This gray tote is so practical and I love that it has good interior and exterior pockets. Gray bags are awesome because they go with everything. It’s a versatile neutral when you don’t want to wear brown or black. I think this bag would be perfect for traveling as well!

SF Adventures with Old Navy

Last weekend I flew up to San Francisco to explore the city with Old Navy! San Francisco has always been like a home away from home for me since I went to school in the Bay, and also family up there, but so much is always changing. I feel like every time I’m in the city a new restaurant is opening, or occasionally a favorite is closing, brand new apartment buildings are sprouting up, and people are always talking about the new hot spot for brunch. This constant change makes SF an exhilarating place to visit. Luckily it’s only an hour plan flight from LA, or a 6 hour drive! 
As part of a collaboration with Old Navy, I swapped cities with an SF blogger Amanda of Advice from a 20 Something. I gave her some LA spots to check out, and she gave me some of her favorites in SF. I was so excited, especially when I found out that one was a favorite, one was a new place I’d been dying to go, and another was a city must!

One of the most iconic spots in San Francisco is the GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE. It looms high in a burnt orange color, occasionally hidden by that typical SF fog {p.s. the fog has a name and it’s Karl!}. One of the best spots to see the Golden Gate Bridge is at Crissy Field. It’s also a great place to picnic, bike along the trails, or walk your dog {if only Ginger could have come with me!}. There’s even beach access but that’s only for the brave! There are many trips where I don’t even see the bridge, but I feel like this is something you absolutely have to do, especially if you’ve never been to SF before.

I brought along a cardigan to wear with my floral dress since it’s definitely a little cooler in this part of town. This burgundy floppy hat is perfect for fall but make sure to hold onto it on a windy day! Otherwise, it will go flying and end up at Alcatraz!

One of my favorite spots to grab breakfast and a coffee is at JANE on Fillmore, so I was so excited when this was on the list! Fillmore Street is full of some awesome boutiques and restaurants, but make sure to stop at Jane. They make some incredible coffee and their baked goods are delicious. Also, a decor plus is their chevron tables! I mean, how perfect are they?!

I wore this white eyelet blouse tucked into a yellow flowy skirt. This was a great outfit for exploring the cute area afterwards! {also, it’s super close to where Matthew and I got engaged!}

Rooftop bars are hard to find in the city, but EL TECHO de LOLINDA is a great one. I’ve never been before but have heard a lot of great things about it. It’s in the popular Mission area of SF that’s full of tons of great food, especially Mexican food! El Techo de Lolinda is the rooftop portion of the Lolinda restaurant, although there’s a separate entrance. You take an elevator to the top, check in with the host and grab a spot along the outside of the patio or, if you’re lucky, snag a table for dinner.

El Techo de Lolinda makes some amazing drinks- I got the Paloma with tequila, fresh grapefruit juice, agave and lime. So fresh and yummy! We grabbed some of their Latin American street bites {chips and guac, ceviche, shrimp skewers} and settled in to enjoy the sunset. What a great way to spend a summer evening!

We might not have been able to see the sun go down, but the skies looked gorgeous! I paired a white tank {so great to wear casually or dressed up} with a pair of bright coral culotte pants from Old Navy! I love that it almost looks like I’m wearing a midi skirt but nope..pants! Rooftop happy hours definitely call for wearing something fun!

Just for fun, I’m curious, if you could go anywhere in the US for two to three days where would it be? This trip inspired me to think about more long weekend trips. It’s so fun to explore another city for a few days. At the top of my list: Charleston and Nashville!
