Hooray hooray! The time is here! Nordstrom’s Famous Anniversary Sale is finally here, and open to everyone! I rounded up some of my favorite tops, dresses, bottoms, sweaters and outerwear above. I seriously look forward to this sale every year. Even though I love summertime, I really enjoy picking out fall pieces before they go up to full-price. {My future self is always happy about that!} There are some pieces, like jeans and loose knits, that can be worn anytime of year, but to be able to get a new coat for $100 off the price is will be in a few months is amazing! Usually sales happen on older styles, but for them to happen on new styles is the best thing ever!
more favorites from the sale:

brunch at oddfellows

weekend brunch at Oddfellows Cafe and Bar in Seattle, Washington M Loves M @marmar
My favorite thing about traveling is finding new restaurants! When we were in Seattle last month I had a list a mile long! If you remember, I went to school in Seattle for two years, but I haven’t been back in almost 8 years…yikes! Whenever anyone has mentioned a cafe or restaurant in the city, I’ve added it to a list on my phone. One of those places was Oddfellows Cafe & Bar. Matthew and I decided to go for a weekend brunch while we were there and it was such a fun meal. First of all, the restaurant is super cool. There are brick walls, a huge old American flag hanging on one wall, tons of indoor plants, and well-designed industrial lighting. It just all worked! Then, you have the food! Oh my gosh! Breakfast food is my favorite for a reason! Both the dishes we had were soo delicious and I got to enjoy the yummiest almond milk latte!

If you’re heading to Seattle, I’d definitely recommend checking this place out! Also, if you have any other favorite spots in the city, let me know! I’ll add them to my list because there’s no way I’m letting another 8 years go by before I visit again!

global-inspired

global-inspired clothing M Loves M @marmar
Lately I’ve been wanting to just get away! After wrapping up my Alaska posts I’m already thinking of another place to go. I was hoping Matthew and I could do a big trip this summer but I’m not sure if it’s going to happen. We’ve both just been so busy! We’re thinking fall might be good for us, though, which will definitely give us something to look forward to!
In the meantime, I’ve been drawn to pieces that seem to have a more global look to them. I’ve been loving bold prints, interesting materials, and embroidered details. I like how they can tell a story so even if I’m not traveling the world just yet, I can at least look like I am! I picked up this pretty blouse in Old Navy the other week and loved the gorgeous embroidered trim on the sleeves. The color combo is so pretty and it makes it easy to pair with other items. I haven’t done as much print-mixing lately so I paired the blouse with this jacquard skirt in navy. I like how the blue ties in one of the colors from the top’s trim.

Have you been planning any fun trip this summer or fall? I’d love to hear where you’re headed, or where you want to go!
