When I got this top with the ties on the shoulder I thought it would be so cute layered under overalls, but it’s just as perfect paired with a skirt or pair of jeans. The fact that it’s a modern polka dot {squares instead of dots} makes me love it even more! This white skirt is such an amazing deal too {under $20!}. It would be great to wear next summer too!

How was your weekend everyone? Matthew and I were busy bees getting a bunch of stuff done. I got a new computer, cleaned my closet, and donated a ton of clothes and shoes. We had three dinners in which was really nice. Sometimes when you procrastinate on a Saturday night dinner reservation, it ends up working out even better! We made cocktails, Matthew grilled, and I made a super yummy kale salad that was almost as good as the homemade mud pie that followed. All enjoyed in pjs! So perfect!

I saw this lip print tee during my event at J.Crew the other month and had to have it. It was actually designed by the guy who beautified that Cadillac Matthew and I shot in front of for Valentine’s Day. Gosh, that seems like so long ago now! Especially when I see photos of those bangs!
Graphic tees are so fun and it’s a classic combo with jeans. I paired the outfit with this red blazer, which picks up on the lip print on the tee, and a pair of striped wedges. This is one of those outfits that could work for an a casual lunch and errands!

I hope you all had a great weekend! I went to a really fun party on Saturday and then had a fun date night at home with Matthew. The weather was so weird this weekend. We woke up to thunder and rain on Saturday and it rained off and on throughout the day. It was nice to stay in, order thai food, and enjoy the rare cozy weather!
Sunday I did a bunch of work and then we celebrated Matthew’s birthday a little early with my parents. I’m excited because we have a fun, short little trip planned this week. Things have been so crazy busy so it will be nice to get away for a few days!

This outfit has sneaky professional written all over it! At first glance you’re thinking, “Ok striped button up, dress pants, polished pumps..this girl is heading to or from the office.” While that could totally be the case, these pants are thinking “Heading to or from the couch.” While we can ignore that your pants have thoughts {sometimes they do!}, let’s focus on this one very important detail…pull-on! Yep, no buttons, zippers, or snaps people! These pants are pull-on, elastic goodness and they’re beyond comfortable. When you really want to be re-watching all the seasons of Friends in your comfy living room, you can pull on these pants and head straight to the office. No one will think any differently of you. You’ll get comments on your polished linen trousers and smile at your sneaky professional self!
